With the humility of a dove and the boldness of a lion she captivates the essence of all who come into her presence. Marilyn leaves an indelible mark on your heart as she teaches, preaches and lives the word of God.

Her Christian walk began in 1981 as she served as Head Majorette for Prairie View A&M University.  She told God that if he would save her that she would quit the squad and her boyfriend.  God answered her prayer and she kept her word.  Since that time Marilyn has cleaned church toilets, fed the homeless, done street evangelism, worked in children, youth, teen, radio, praise dance, music, finance, Sunday school, women and single’s ministry.   Her success in ministry is attributed to submission to the word of God, pastoral leadership and biblical training. She firmly believes that when you obey those that have rule over you, God will give you a Sarah blessing.

Preaching as a licensed minister for nineteen years has allowed her to cross both racial and denominational lines.  It is her joy to hear congregants say, “The Lord used that word to change my life”.  She has literally seen hundreds come to Jesus Christ through the preached word.

She is a published author with her latest release, "I Am Anointed To Help Him".  This book was written for pastor's wives but is able to empower any woman that is married to a visionary.  Marilyn is also an national certified Christian Counselor.

Marilyn is the founder of W4 Ministries a 501 (c) 3 non-profit where she empower women to serve God proactively. W4 has a comprehensive program that meets the needs of all women.  She diligently works in this ministry to make sure that daughters, ladies and damsel in distress are transformed into powerful women of God that know and pursue their kingdom agenda.

Professionally, Marilyn has served as a teacher, coach, department head, director and assistant principal for various districts in the Houston area.  She has held the teacher of the year title and mentored many new teachers who were also named Mentee Teacher of the Year.  Presently she serves in full-time ministry as the Chief Executive Officer of W4 Ministries and the co-pastor of Christ Worship Center Church.

Marilyn is the wife of Bishop Edward Lee Johnson, Senior Pastor of Christ Worship Center and music mogul in Houston, Texas. Together they have four blessings Chas, Christal, Edward III and Kyle ranging from ages 4 to 23..
